Contact, Appointments and Fees

Please make initial contact by email or by telephone so as to discuss your needs. Leave a message if I do not immediately reply and I'll return your call as soon as possible. When leaving a message, it is a good idea to leave a brief outline of the problem you would like help with, if possible. If I call back and someone other than yourself answers the call, I will not leave a message for reasons of confidentiality. You may not wish whoever takes the call to know that you have sought help from a Clinical Psychologist.

I am available for face-to-face appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays at my consulting rooms at Springbank Clinic, Pembroke Road, Sevenoaks which is adjacent to Marks and Spencer ( see map, bottom right corner ). I am also available online. My fee for self-pay cases is £105 per hour (online rate) and £115 per hour for face-to-face sessions. This becomes payable at the end of each session. I accept cash, cheques and online transfers.

I am a registered provider with a number of Health Insurance schemes. Please inquire about this on making contact, as most expect to authorise payment for sessions before they begin. Different insurers pay different rates and your excess will depend on your package. Some providers also insist that you are referred by a medical practitioner. You should check the details of your policy prior to arranging your first appointment. 

Exceptions

Please note that I cannot provide an emergency service. If you are actively suicidal or psychotic, you should seek urgent help by dialling 999 or by visiting your nearest Accident and Emergency Department. Similarly, if you are unable to keep yourself safe between sessions, private practice is not the appropriate place for you at the current time. If your health is compromised as a consequence of alcoholism, active substance misuse, a severe eating disorder or other serious health condition, you are likely to need medical help before you can benefit from the input of a Clinical Psychologist.
